Oil bounces back above US$100 after US, Iran talks end in stalemate
[SINGAPORE] Oil prices jumped above US$100 a barrel on Monday as the US Navy prepared to blockade the Strait of Hormuz after talks between the US and Iran failed to reach a deal to end the war.
Brent crude futures rose US$7.11, or 7.47 per cent, to US$102.31 a barrel by 2204 GMT after settling 0.75 per cent lower on Friday.
